The Central Decatur School District would like to remind all parents of the following open enrollment deadlines:

March 1 Deadline

The deadline to file an application form with resident and receiving districts is on or before March 1^st of the school year prior to the open enrollment year.

If the application is for a kindergarten student, file the application form with both districts on or before September 1 of the school year in which open enrollment is requested.

Booster Club Calendar

The form to purchase spots on the Booster Club Calendar was inadvertently left out of the last District Newsletter.

If you would like to support the Cardinal Booster Club and be a part of a GREAT calendar, please download and fill out the form linked below and return to any of the schools. Please enclose the correct amount and return by June 1 to Cardinal Booster Club, 1201 NE Poplar, Leon, Iowa, 50144 or sent to school with your student. Make checks payable to Cardinal Booster Club.

TAP at CD

Central Decatur CSD is excited about the implementation a new educational program beginning the 2013-2014 school year. Our District will begin using “The System for Teacher and Student Advancement, TAP”, run by the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching (NIET).

In addition to more fully serving the needs of the students we serve, the $3.5 million dollar Teacher Incentive Fund (TIF) Grant and TAP System will allow Central Decatur to serve as a model district for schools throughout the state of Iowa and nationally as school districts explore effective methods for educational reform.

DEADLINE: Forms are due June 5^th for shirt order. Forms turned in after June 5^th are welcome at camp, but will not receive a shirt.

When: June 17, 18, 20, 21 (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday)

3rd-5^th grades (12:00 -1:30 p.m.)

6th-8^th grades (2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.)

(use the grade you will be entering in the fall)

Cost: $25 camp fee which includes a t-shirt

3rd Annual Cardinal Booster Club
Golf Tournament

What: 4 Person Best Shot Tournament
Where: Leon Country Club
When: June 22, 2013-Shotgun starts at 8 am and 2 pm.
Cost: $100 per team-Payment due on day of tournament

The Central Decatur Cardinals Booster Club will be hosting a 4 person best shot tournament. If your business is interested in any sponsorship opportunities or if you have any questions, please contact Zach Clark at (515) 290-2437.

No carry-on alcohol
Door prizes for Longest Drive, Closest to pin, Longest putt

Carts are available for rent
